WORLD CUP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

World Cup is finally here!!!! Which team do YOU support??? I support Spain!!! Not because I'm crazy about them, but because I think that they are the favourites to win this World Cup!!!

I think Spain has the greatest number of fit yet great footballers such as star strikers Fernando Torres and David Villa, star midfielders Andrea Iniesta, David Silva, Fabregas, Xabi Alonso and Xavi and so much more other stars in other positions.

Spain romped through their qualifiers, qualifying for the World Cup with 2 games to spare, dismantling Poland 6-0 and crushing Estonia 3-0.

Argentina have lots of stars and are quite a good team. However, their stars, like striker Carlos Tevez, are erratic. Another problem is their coach Maradona. He is also an Argentinian and played for Argentina before too. He is famous for his infamous 'Hand of God' goal over England. A team mate crossed the ball to him from behind and he and the England goalkeeper were rushing toward each other. The 'keeper raised his hands the fist the shot away. However, Maradona raised his hand and puched the ball into the goal!!! The referee did not see what had transpired, and hence the goal was counted!!! However, Maradona's second goal was perfect and beautiful, skimming around defenders like Twinkletoes, fooling the goalkeeper before finally tapping the ball home.

BUT..BUT..WAIT!!!! HE MAY BE AWESOME AT PLAYING SOCCER, BUT HE'S CERTAINLY RUBBISH AT COACHING!!! THAT IS WHY IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ARGENTINA TO WIN!!!

Brazil is a brilliant team who have won the World Cup a record 5 times. In comparison, Spain have not won the World Cup even once. The Brazil football team before boasted all time greats like football legend Pele, Rivaldo, Ronaldo and so on. However this year, the Brazil coach Dunga has taken much flair out of Brazil and they have lost much of the flair from the old times but are still a formidable team. Anyway, they shouldn't be too sad if they got eliminated. They are hosting the World Cup in 2014 and therefore automatically have qualified for it already. Brazil are also in the ' Group of Death ' this year. The group consists of heavyweights Ivory Coast and Portugal. North Korea completes the group of 4. Don't underestimate North Korea, though. I don't know much of their players but in the newspapers it says that North Korea are one of the dark horses to win this World Cup. Portugal boasts of the most expensive player and possibly the best winger, in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo but are missing another star winger, Nani. Ivory Coast originally boasted of top scorer on the EPL this season, Didier Drogba, but are now in trouble since Drogba broke his arm but he seems to be recuperating quite swiftly. However, they still have stars like the experienced defender Kolo Toure.

Originally, I was voting for England but now them winning the World Cup is not a possibility anymore.Rooney and Ledley King, who I think broke his ankle, are sitting out training sessions, Rooney needs to cope with his temper. He has been using vulgar language at referees very frequently. I also don't understand why coach Fabio Capello is using Emile Heskey as striker and I agree with a quote from the Strait's Times. It says"If the World Cup was won by trying, Emile Heskey would be the Player of the Tournament." But since it's won by scoring, Heskey should be dropped. Capello, which a particular newspaper article describes as 'the Angry Italian', also stubbornly sticks to his stupid formation of 4-4-2 which leaves midfielders Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard exposed in vast areas of space. Therefore, they were often outmanouvered when the Americans were in possession.

The rest of the heavyweights are all missing star players. For example, Germany are missing captain and star midefielder Michael Ballack.
