To celebrate Father's Day, me and my family went to Johor Bahru in Malaysia on Saturday, one day before Father's Day. It was a long trip to Malaysia even though we set off from our flat in Punggol in tehe afternoon when it is usually not as crowded as in the mornings or evenings. Probably because most of the Malaysians working or studying in Singapore probably go back home today. Hence it was very crowded at the Singapore and Malaysia customs. Eventually we reached our destination, some hotel which name I don't even remember. We reached there at about 2, I think.
2 o' clock is around lunch time for us on weekends and therefore we ventured to Mc'Donald's. Mc'Donald's in Malaysia isn't the same as Mc'Donald's back in Singapore, I later discovered. For starters, the McValue lunch in Singapore is just for Fillet O'Fish while the same thing in Malaysia is for a lot of stuff, like McNuggets, cheeseburgers, chickenburgers, Mc Spicy and so on. I ordered McNuggets Mcvalure meal, since that is my favourite. They were in a packet. However, McNuggets in Singapore are in a small box. The Mc'Donald's in Malaysia do not even have the curry sauce which I usually have with my nuggets in Singapore. The chilli sauce in Singapore is the delicious garlic chilli sauce while in Malaysia the chilli sauce is just some weird chilli sauce which doesn't contain garlic. Disgusting.
Anyways after we finished lunch and consumed our ice'creams, we went to some electronics store where my dad bought some programmes for me to learn like Photoshop Cs4 professional and so on as there was a problem with oneof the programmes. We were in there for I don't know how long and it was VERY, VERY boring. Luckily I had brought along my PSP and I squatted in a corner and played earnestly.
After that we drove to City Square Plaze as there was a cinema there. We planned to watch Karate Kid. However, when we went to check at about 5.50, we realised that we had just missed the 5.40 movie. The only seats available for the 6.40 movie were at the 2 front rows. If you wanted to sit there for more then 2 hours I guarantee you'll get a sprained neck from gazing up for so long.
So in the end we decided to go for the 8 o'clock movie. So we had about 2 hours left before the movie and hence we decided to go shopping. We went into ' Inner City', which is like a shopping mall within the shopping mall we were alreadyin, City Plaza Mall. We found an electronics store and therefore stopped there to upgrade my PSP and also to buy some new games for it and my sister's DS.
Finally 8o'clock was drawing closer and therefore we went to have a quick dinner and then went to watch Karate Kid. It was quite interesting and also humourous-is that how you spell it?? Anyways it was about this kid, Dre Parker who moved from Detroit to China. He likes a girl but then another guy who is quite an expert in martial arts beats him up everytime he gets near her. One day he angers the guy by throwing dirty water over him. The guy and 5 other people chase after him and nearly kill him of not for Jackie Chan, who beat them up. Jackie then teaches Dre kung fu and in the end Dre beats the guy in a kung fu competition.
After the movie we went home and reached at about midnight. I bathed and then fall asleep immediately.
