Italy has been knocked out of the World Cup!!!! What's more, they won it the last time. STUNNED BY SLOVAKIA!!!!! Slovakia!!! What crap!! Slovakia has a population of only around 5 million and are participating in the World Cup for the first time since their independence. AND they managed to beat WORLD CUP HOLDERS Italy. This is the first time in World Cup history that both finalists in the previous World Cup have been knocked out in the group stages-champions Italy and runners-up France.
The match between Italy and Slovakia was called 'epic'. 3 goals were scored after the 80th minute, 2 by Italy and 1 by Slovakia including an Italy goal flagged offside by the referee for the 'tightest of decisions'. The match finished Slovakia 3 Italy 2.
Slovakia next face Dutch masters Netherlands in the knockout stages. This will probably end Slovakia's miracle round. The Dutch have so many stars to call upon, including star striker Arjen Robben whom I believe has justreturned from injury. His electrifying pace will trouble anyone any day. They also have Andrea Pirlo, Fabio Cannavaro, Antonio Di Natale and many more. That's why the Dutch will probably win Slovakia
